The Importance of Individuality in Scentwork Training

I have been doing scentwork with my own dogs since 2018. I am a qualified IABTC Supersniffer instructor. The creator of the suppersniffer course has done a lot of research on different methods, making it suitable for all pet dogs. This is important because every dog is different, and not every dog likes to learn in the same way.

Individuality is important in scentwork training because every dog learns differently. Some dogs are motivated by food, while others are motivated by toys or praise. Some dogs prefer to work independently, while others prefer to work with a handler. Some dogs are easily distracted, while others are able to focus on the task at hand.
